What if you have a good grasp on your homeschooling plans and don’t need a full consultation but just want a list of diverse books customized to fit your family’s needs?
You’ve come to the right place!
With this service, you’ll be asked to complete an online questionnaire to help me understand your family dynamics and goals, and I will respond within 7 business days (usually sooner) with a book list and recommendations for how best to utilize the resources.
What’s my special sauce? I specialize in books featuring Black & Brown voices but will sometimes include other “mirror & window” recommendations when requested.
Who could benefit from a consult?
- Home educators with elementary or middle school aged children (I do not make recommendations for Young Adult books)
- Parents who are new to homeschooling or new to Charlotte Mason
- Experienced home educators who want to increase their children’s exposure to Black and Brown voices
Please note: You will not receive a full curriculum plan. This service is meant to augment your other lesson plans rather than fully replace them. This will be an enhancement to your program but not the full program itself.

Customized Booklist GOLD
I just received my customized booklist from Amber and I am in love. She took the time to address my kids’ interests while also suggesting books in our history time period for our current homeschool year. Her little notes about each book and why she chose them for our family were so thoughtful and I really appreciate those touches. I cannot wait to purchase these books for our homeschool. If you struggle with integrating more living books (especially books that emphasize black or latino or immigrant voices) into your family’s library then this is a great addition and a purchase you will not regret.
Fantastic Resource for Homeschoolers
This was the perfect complement to my homeschool plans for the upcoming school year. Amber took into account my kids reading levels and interests, the gaps in our curriculum, as well as the time period we will be studying in history, and created a perfect book list for our family.
