I had a great time chatting with Kerry Ann Todd when she interviewed me for her new Homeschool Invitation series. We talked about the one piece of advice I wish someone had given me when I first started home educating my children, my biggest challenge these days, and how I try to teach a broad and inclusive history to my little people.
You can watch us chat about a few things on the video below or read my full written responses to more questions on her blog: Amber’s Homeschool Invitation Interview.
As you watch you may wonder why I keep touching my face, twisting in my chair, and randomly being weird. Well, that is what happens when you take a shower and wash your hair 8 minutes before you’re supposed to be on camera. I threw the wet mess up into a high bun, but water was trickling down my face and neck the ENTIRE time! I needed a towel so badly, and all I could do is try to look introspective with my hand on the side of my face while I tried to catch and swipe water with my fingers. Enjoy watching me squirm! You’re welcome 🙂

Amber,
I am CRACKING UP as I begin to watch this video after reading your disclaimer about wet hair. Have I been there? 🙋🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
So funny! The struggle is real and you are not alone. My husband and I laugh when we remember how I would have him check to see if I had white conditioner streaks in the back my hair before I got out of the car and headed into the office. Wash-n-go-struggles!
Lolololol! I’m glad that you could understand the struggle! I was like, “Oh my goodness, people are going to think that I’m over here sweating! NO ONE will understand that my hair is dripping.” I will remember that for a long time, and I will also wash my hair earlier next time. Lesson learned!
