Your homeschool consultation will include up to 1 or 2 hours of a private phone call, depending on your selection, during which we’ll discuss where you are, where you want to be, and how you can get there in a way that will be a blessing rather than a burden.
What to expect?
- Prior to the call, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire that will help me understand your family circumstances and your goals for our time together.
- Following the call, you will receive written recommendations or follow-up notes to help organize your next steps, and you’ll walk away with a clear plan that will make it easier for you to reach your goals without the added stress of researching and planning everything on your own.
- You will also receive a discount code for 20% off any digital booklists, lesson guides, or resources in the Heritage Mom shop.

How much time do we need? If you’re just getting started with homeschooling or are looking to make a big overhaul, it is likely that 2 hours will be most beneficial. This allows us time to get into the nitty-gritty of lifestyle, curriculum, scheduling, and more with plenty of time for Q&A. However, if you’re only able to do 1 hour we can move quickly and pack in as much as possible during our time together so you will still walk away feeling inspired and ready for the next steps.
Please note: You will not receive a full curriculum plan or booklist. This service is meant to help you learn, plan, grow, and focus. You may receive information that will help augment your lesson plans, and depending on the discussion, I may make relevant book recommendations, but they will be an enhancement to your program – not the full program itself.

Amber lives up to and exceeds all preconceived expectations. I had my first session with Amber and I could tell she took the time to truly digest my intake history because she knew all the details about my kids and our family dynamics really well! She came prepared with recommendations for each of my kids and their unique interests/ strengths. Awesome & So Helpful
I’m a newbie to homeschool. I was so overwhelmed with trying to figure out how to homeschool. I had no clue on how to start & the way I was going about it was extremely frustrating to not only myself, but to my 4 year old. I wanted something that would help with learning how to properly teach my child & be inclusive of our race. Amber gave me so much info. Troughout the consultation she lifted so much stress and anxiety off of me. The fact that she formed a curriculum that fit us is simply a Godsend. I would recommend her to anyone. My consultation was a couple of days ago but I have emailed questions I forgot to ask and she answered with no problem. I really appreciate Amber taking the the time to really read through my pre consultation form and she listens really well. I am not new to homeschooling but a new illness has forced me to think outside the way we normally do things. I am an early education provider whose desire to homeschool outweighed anything else. Amber is such a breath of fresh air. My concern about being able to properly educate my family was a huge burden. It is important to me that if they are going to learn history, they need to learn it the right way. I did not want the lies being taught in public arenas to be taught to them. As we all know, it is important that children have an understanding of their people and its history. I didn’t want to perpetuate the lies and impart that sense of defeatism that many other generations have carried.
Amber gave excellent suggestions, resources, and wisdom. I was trying to keep the little person in public school for the remainder of the year and have full-on homeschool… She nicely told me in her kind words… lady you trippin’, lol… She said, “That’s too much for him. Why don’t you do these things and supplement his education.. and stop overdoing XY and Z…” Amber keeps you honest and holds you accountable. She allowed me to be and feel vulnerable. She didn’t leave me feeling that way. She helped me see and know that what I was doing was going to work and valuable to my family.

just what I needed.
I had lists of books and recommendations for a DIY Charlotte Mason plan for the year, but I had a lot of uncertainties. There were questions about books or themes that I didn’t think I could answer to satisfaction as a white woman. It was such a blessing to have the expertise of a homeschool mom farther along than I am who was willing to talk through those things and help me find great book replacements for the ones I chose to leave behind. I know how much time and experience finding and choosing books takes, because of how lost I feel when I need to find them completely on my own! I’ve asked a few follow up questions as well. I would absolutely do it again.

I CAN DO IT

PERFECTION
Amber is just phenomenal. It is hard to put into words how the call just helped me SO much. I purchased two of her extraordinary heritage packs and after receiving and reviewing them – I just had to speak with her. I am a first-time homeschooling mom and had a ton of research, blog reading, talking to people etc but this was completely different and so helpful. I wrote all my questions down and she answered each and every one of them thoroughly. This also just allowed for more questions to organically arise and I got answers to those too! Then she helped me setting up a schedule which I find nearly impossible. I was very nervous and unsure of if I were really able to home school but after our conversation, I knew I was going to be okay and that I was capable of doing it! She was very encouraging and real. She promptly followed up with a recording of the call and any recourses she mentioned in the call she told me she would send. She is a great teacher in addition to a great teacher of teachers – so much to share!!! Our Zoom meet helped relieve anxieties
Amber was used as a life savour for me. I had lots of anxiety from worrying about the way I am to schedule my school day, which curriculum to use, how do I stay consistent, and so many other worries. Amber literally prayed for me (as I asked for prayer) during our zoom meet. I truly believe that Amber was an answer prayer for me as in the midst of reaching out for help I had been struggling with anxiety, adhd, and depression. As Amber patiently shared her part in helping and I notated what to do there has truly been a sense of peace and a concrete strategic plan that better helps my mental health while on this homeschooling journey. I am forever grateful for our zoom meeting as it was recorded and is now a reference for me to be able to go to.

My go-to year after year
I found Amber through a homeschool site two and
a half years ago, and she’s been a part of our homeschool journey ever since. We’ve consulted her on everything from child development to picking out curriculum to advice on parenting a gifted (and very spirited) child. She’s our go-to year after year.
