I was excited to have the opportunity to chat with Alyssa from Seed & Sew this week! As a guest on her Voices of Your Village podcast, I had the chance to talk about Preparing for Homeschool (Episode #34), my home education journey, and how “school” is integrated into “life” in our home.
Real life means you can’t have a hard line of demarcation. Sometimes you are doing a lesson and the washing machine repairman shows up. Sometimes you have to ask one of the kids to wash dishes in between their math and history lesson. That is one thing that I personally love about it. School is life.
You can catch up with us on Instagram @heritagemomblog (Amber) and @seed.and.sew (Alyssa). See you there!
Great info! Thanks for the encouragement and guidance. I’ve been soaking up all your podcast info!
That’s awesome! I appreciate you listening, and I’m glad that you’re finding some good nuggets tucked in there.
Hi there, I really enjoyed this podcast. I do have an early education background and so I was talking to you both during your convo agreeing with everything. You are super inspiring, really feels like a kindred spirit. Thank you for posting all your great blogs that are right on time as I was (attempting to) pulling my own picture studies/music together this year to fill into the CM curriculum I have. All the history posts are giving me life! I’ve already shared everything with my local HS group.
Oh, And it’s so true having a nursing toddler vs a weaned is so much easier!!
Thank you & keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to this episode. I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed it, and I love that we have so much in common! I hope your family enjoys the picture studies and anything else that you find here.
