Join Me For a Virtual Homeschooling Conference!

by | Jun 10, 2020 | Homeschool

I’m happy to announce that I’ll be speaking at the 2020 Charlotte Mason Inspired Online Homeschool Conference. This 5-Day live online event is for homeschool parents ready to introduce their children to a feast of ideas and encourage a life-long love of learning AND for those who are considering homeschooling and want to know more.

This conference will transform your family’s homeschool experience. It’s the perfect guide for setting yourself and your child up for success!

  • You will get to take part in 30+ live workshops. Workshops will help you to foster a love for learning for the rest of your child’s life. Plus, you get lifetime access to and can revisit them at any time.
  • You will join an exclusive community of homeschool parents on the same path as you so you can feel supported in your journey to give your child the best learning experience. It can be hard to go at this alone. There are so many options, learning styles, and resources out there.
  • You will get access to life-changing advice from veteran parents following the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education. Each day, 5 speakers discuss Charlotte Mason’s principles and offer helpful guidance.

Yes! I want to register! (Thank you for using my affiliate link. I will receive a small percentage at no additional cost to you.)

My workshop is Mirrors & Windows: When Living Books Are Not Enough, and I’d love to see some friendly faces! There is a shortage of living books featuring black characters, yet it is incredibly unhealthy for children to solely read about the lives of white fictional characters, the trials and contributions of white historic figures, and the struggles and triumphs of slaves, former slaves, and the poor, ignorant, or down-trodden. We’ll discuss how we can stay true to Charlotte Mason’s principles while creating mirrors and windows for all children to see African and African-American culture reflected in their school books.

During this 5-day event, the 20+ speakers will also cover topics such as:

  • Getting Started with Charlotte Mason
  • Nature Study
  • Charlotte Mason Curriculum for All Ages
  • Planning, Scheduling and Morning Time
  • Living Literature, and Fine Arts
  • Habit Training
  • Recitation and Narration
  • And so much more!

Here is the rest of the exciting lineup of 2020 conference speakers:

  • Alisha Gratehouse – Masterpiece Society
  • Amy Fischer – Around The Thicket
  • Ana Willis – They Call Me Blessed
  • Chelli Guthrie – The Planted Trees

Haha! That’s too funny because I’m doing the same exact thing. I can’t wait to hear all of the speakers. I’m always so filled up after conferences. It’s a great way to kick off my planning for next year.

    Hello Amber,
So delighted to find your blog today by pure coincidence. I attended the CM online conference last year and loved it…but I figured I’d skip this year, as I was worried there would be too many repeat speakers/topics. Now that I see you are speaking – I just signed up. 🙂 Excited for that session! Hope that encourages you as to the value your voice has. Blessings to you & your family. We look forward to checking out some of your Ambleside Year 1 additional book recommendations.

Oh, I’m so excited! I saw you are a speaker and told my friend that I’ve totally fan-girled over your blog. 😉 Was wondering if there were affiliate links, too, so that’s great to know we can sign up and support people who have motivated and challenged us (like your writing does me!!).

p.s. Oy. Way too many exclamation points used there. 😉

Yay, Christie!!!!!(Using lots of exclamation points so we can experience that together, lol) I’m so glad that you’ll be attending the conference or watching the recording or however you choose to do it. I know that we’re going to have a good time, and the hilarious thing is that I’m totally fan-girling some of the other speakers. It’s all good!
