It has been said many times that no two families are alike, but one thing all families have in common is the indelible mark left on the children. Make no doubt about it – our families and all their nooks and crannies help make us who we are. And since family plays a major role in the formation of identity, providing opportunities for our children to recognize their family of origin between the pages of a book is affirming. Witnessing the differences in style of a completely unique type of family gives us perspective. But differences are only part of the equation.
