My daughter advocated for herself when she wasn’t getting what she needed, and she taught me that what may look like “acting out” could just be getting into “good trouble” in disguise. I met Cindy Rinna at the Wild + Free conference last month, and we recently had the chance to chat about what my daughter did to revolutionize our homeschool and how it’s related to other aspects of being “different.” If you’re homeschooling an “outside the box” child (learning differences, autism, dyslexia, etc) or a child who is different in some other way, you’ll want to hear this episode.
We may not be experts, but we’re devoted moms, and there’s NOTHING WE WON’T DO for our children.

Hi, Amber! You and Cindy were my “companions” while grocery shopping today. 🙂 I had a great time listening to you both. What you said is just so timely for me to hear. Like you guys knew what questions I have in my mind! Been digging through your posts the past few days. One of the things I like in this podcast (I enjoy all the podcasts you’ve been in) is that you said something like we’re not experts (me included), just start where you are and with what you have. Really freeing! Thank you, guys!
You’re so welcome! I really enjoy sharing these chats with friends because I know how much these types of podcasts and resources have helped me along in my journey. And we DEFINITELY don’t have to be experts – most of us aren’t – but we still get the job done with a smile and some spark!
